Connect Google Search Console

Connect Search Console to the Rankvia website you want to plan with first-party Google search evidence.

Before you start, make sure the Google account you use has access to the Search Console property for this website.

Search Console connections are managed for the Rankvia website you're working with.

Before you start

  • A website already added to Rankvia
  • A Google account with access to that website's Search Console property
  • The correct Search Console property available in that Google account

If the website does not yet have a Search Console property, create and verify it in Google Search Console first.

1

Open Integrations

In Rankvia, open the website you want to connect, then go to Settings → Integrations.

Make sure you're viewing the correct Rankvia website before connecting Search Console.

2

Connect Google Search Console

In the Search data section, find Google Search Console and select Connect Search Console.

3

Choose your Google account

Google opens its authorization flow. Choose a Google account that has access to the Search Console property for the website you're connecting.

Review the requested access and continue.

Rankvia uses the authorized Search Console access for supported search-data and planning workflows.

4

Select the Search Console property

Rankvia shows the Search Console properties available to the connected Google account. Select the property that corresponds to the Rankvia website.

Choose the property for this website - not another property available in the same Google account.

The property format may differ depending on how the website is configured in Search Console. Rankvia supports matching domain and URL-prefix properties.

5

Confirm the connection

Confirm the Search Console property Rankvia should use for this website. If Rankvia suggests a matching property, choose Use this property; otherwise select a property and choose Use selected property.

Rankvia may briefly show Preparing Google Search Console data while it imports supported search signals. After confirmation, Google Search Console shows as connected for the current Rankvia website.

What happens after you connect Search Console

No existing Content Calendar

Continue with normal planning. Search Console evidence can be included when Rankvia builds the Content Calendar.

Existing Content Calendar

Rankvia may offer you the choice to regenerate planning with Search Console evidence or keep the current calendar.

Verify the connection

Return to Settings → Integrations → Search data and confirm that Google Search Console shows as connected for the website you're working with.

  • Connected status
  • Expected Search Console property
  • No connection or property error

If the wrong property is shown, change or reconnect the integration before relying on its Search Console data.

Search Console is connected in the context of a Rankvia website.

If you manage multiple websites, make sure each website uses the Search Console property that belongs to it.

Change or reconnect the Search Console property

If you need to use a different Google account or Search Console property, return to Settings → Integrations and use the available reconnect or change controls. Confirm the property for the current Rankvia website again after reconnecting.

Common setup problems

I don't see the property I need

Confirm that the Google account you authorized has access to that Search Console property.

I connected the wrong property

Change or reconnect Search Console for the Rankvia website before relying on its search data.

Google authorization returns an error

Retry the connection and confirm you're using the intended Google account. If the error continues, review the troubleshooting guide.

Rankvia is connected but data is not available yet

Wait for the initial preparation to complete, then check the connection status and selected property again.

Expected result

  • Google Search Console shows as connected for the current Rankvia website.
  • The intended Search Console property is associated with that website.
  • Rankvia can use supported Search Console evidence for planning.
  • An existing Content Calendar is not silently rewritten simply because Search Console was connected.
