Manage your Rankvia plan through Shopify

If your Rankvia subscription started through the Shopify app, Shopify manages the subscription and billing for that store.

You can continue using Rankvia on the web, but the subscription is still managed through Shopify.

Rankvia access follows the plan currently active for the store-not simply the most recently selected plan.

The active Rankvia plan determines the features and usage available for the store. When the subscription originated through Shopify, Shopify manages the billing lifecycle.

Where to manage your Rankvia subscription

Started through Shopify

Subscription and billing are managed through Shopify.

Started directly through Rankvia

Subscription and billing are managed through Rankvia's direct billing flow.

Opening Rankvia on the web does not change a Shopify-managed subscription into a direct-billed subscription. The same Rankvia website should have one active billing source, not separate simultaneous Shopify and direct subscriptions.

Your current plan and upcoming changes

Current plan is the plan providing Rankvia access now. Upcoming plan is a different plan scheduled to take effect later.

Example only. If you request a downgrade, the lower plan appearing as upcoming does not mean your current higher-plan access has already ended.

Upgrade your Rankvia plan

Start a plan change from the Rankvia area opened through Shopify. When Shopify approval is required, Rankvia sends you to Shopify to review the subscription change.

  1. Review the plan change shown by Shopify.
  2. Approve it, or cancel to leave the existing subscription unchanged.
  3. Return to Rankvia and check the current and upcoming plan state.

After Shopify confirms the change, Rankvia updates the store's plan state. Plan-dependent workflows then follow the higher plan that is active for the store.

Downgrade your Rankvia plan

A downgrade to a lower Rankvia plan is scheduled for the end of the current billing period rather than removing the current higher-plan access immediately.

Until the downgrade takes effect, Rankvia continues applying the current higher-plan access. After the effective date, limits and features follow the lower plan.

What changes when the downgrade takes effect

Future plan-dependent generation and Content Calendar capacity follow the newly active plan. Existing Business Profile information, generated work, and articles already published to Shopify are retained; the change does not delete them.

Cancel your Rankvia subscription

Use the Shopify-managed subscription flow to schedule a cancellation. When cancellation is scheduled, the current Rankvia plan remains active until the end of the paid billing period.

Canceling and uninstalling are different

Cancel subscription

Changes the Rankvia subscription and billing lifecycle.

Uninstall Shopify app

Removes the Shopify app and its connection to the store.

Uninstalling the app is not a replacement for reviewing the store's Shopify subscription. Manage the subscription through Shopify, then uninstall only when you also want to remove the app connection.

Using Rankvia outside Shopify

A store that started through Shopify can continue using the broader Rankvia experience. Opening Rankvia on the web does not move the subscription to direct billing.

How your plan affects Rankvia

Your current active plan determines the plan-dependent features and usage available for the website. For plan inclusions and commercial comparison, use the current pricing page rather than this billing guide.

Invoices and billing records

Charges for a Shopify-managed Rankvia subscription are handled through Shopify's billing system. Review the charge and billing record in your Shopify admin billing area. A Shopify-managed subscription is not managed through Rankvia's direct billing flow.

If a plan change doesn't complete

  1. Verify whether Shopify shows the plan change as approved.
  2. Return to Rankvia and check the current and upcoming plan state.
  3. Do not repeatedly start additional plan-change requests while a change is still pending.
  4. If Shopify shows the change as confirmed but Rankvia does not update, contact Rankvia support.

After a confirmed Shopify change, it can take a short time for Rankvia to reflect the updated subscription state.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Rankvia still show Growth after I selected Launch?

Growth remains your current plan until the end of the current billing period. Launch is the upcoming plan.

Why does Shopify show a different plan than Rankvia?

First check whether one surface is showing an upcoming change while the other shows the current plan. If both show conflicting current plans, contact support.

Can I manage my Shopify Rankvia subscription through direct billing?

Not when Shopify owns the subscription. Shopify remains the billing provider for that Shopify-managed subscription.

Can I use Rankvia on the web while Shopify bills me?

Yes. Opening Rankvia on the web does not change the billing provider.

Will downgrading delete my existing content?

No. Existing Rankvia work and Shopify articles already published to your store are retained. Future plan-dependent capacity follows the lower plan once it becomes active.

What happens to Shopify articles if I cancel Rankvia?

Articles already published to Shopify remain there unless you remove them in Shopify.
