Get started with Rankvia for Shopify

After installing Rankvia in Shopify, open the app for the store you want to grow. Rankvia uses that store as the starting point for understanding the website, planning search opportunities, creating content, and publishing back to Shopify.

This guide takes you from opening the Shopify app to your first Rankvia Content Calendar and content workflow.

1. Open Rankvia in Shopify

In Shopify Admin, open Apps, then choose Rankvia for the store you want to work with. Rankvia opens in the context of the Shopify store you are currently managing.

The app may continue into the broader Rankvia workspace in a new tab. You are still working with the Shopify store you started from.

2. Confirm the store you’re setting up

Check the store and website shown by Rankvia before you continue. The website should be the one you intend to grow for this Shopify store.

Before you continue: if the wrong website or store appears, stop setup and contact support rather than continuing with the wrong association.

3. Continue into Rankvia

Follow the access option shown in the Shopify app. New users can start the Rankvia setup flow, while existing Rankvia users can connect the account they already use.

After you continue, the Shopify store remains associated with the Rankvia website you are setting up. This does not create a separate, unrelated workspace.

4. Let Rankvia analyze your website

Rankvia analyzes the store website to build the business and website context it needs for planning. This includes the public website, existing pages, offers, positioning, and other relevant context-not private Shopify customer or order data.

Keep the analysis running until Rankvia shows that the website is ready. If analysis is still in progress, open Rankvia to follow its progress rather than starting another analysis.

5. Review your Business Profile

When analysis is complete, review the Business Profile Rankvia created for the store. Check the business, audience, products or offers, positioning, competitors, and other context that affects planning.

Correct important details before continuing so Rankvia’s planning reflects the store accurately. You do not need to perfect every field before moving on.

6. Build your Content Calendar

Rankvia combines the Business Profile, existing website, search research, and any supported connected search evidence to decide which opportunities are worth pursuing. The Content Calendar turns those opportunities into an actionable plan to create new content or improve existing pages.

Optional Search Console context: Google Search Console is optional. When connected, Rankvia can use supported first-party Google search evidence as additional planning context.

Not every opportunity needs a new page

Rankvia can recommend creating new content or improving an existing page when that page is already the better owner for the opportunity.

7. Review your first Page Plan

Open an opportunity from the Content Calendar to review what Rankvia plans to create or improve before generating content. Check the search need, recommended action, page type, structure, relevant links, and supporting research.

8. Generate your first content

When the Page Plan looks right, generate the content. Rankvia uses the plan together with the Business Profile, website context, and supported search research to create a finished draft.

When the current workflow includes a generated image, Rankvia prepares it as part of the content process. Review the finished content before deciding how to publish it.

9. Publish when you’re ready

Because the website is associated with the Shopify app, Shopify can be used as the publishing destination for supported content.

Review before publishing

Generate and review the finished content in Rankvia, then send it to Shopify when you are ready.

Automatic publishing

When the supported automatic workflow is enabled and Shopify is selected, eligible scheduled content can continue into Shopify without a separate manual action.

For supported manual publishing flows, content can be created as a Shopify draft or published live.

Your subscription is managed through Shopify

If your Rankvia subscription started through the Shopify app, Shopify remains the billing provider for that subscription-even when you continue working in Rankvia on the web.
